ABOUT
DEE RECORDS.
An independent Nigerian music label built around music production, artist development and thoughtful release coordination. We are here to support original music and help connect the people who create it with the listeners who value it.
Who we are
A label with music at its centre.
DEE RECORDS is an independent music label based in Lagos State, Nigeria. Our work is centred on the process of bringing music from an idea to a finished release: supporting production, helping artists shape their work, planning releases and presenting music to an audience.
We believe a record label should be clear about what it does and respectful of the people behind every record. Music is the foundation of our work. The artists, producers, songwriters and creative collaborators who contribute to a project deserve communication, care and a shared understanding of the work being done.
Our public-facing label name is DEE RECORDS. The registered business name used for official business records is DEE RECORDS ENTERPRISES. The two names refer to the same label and registered business operation.
What we do
From creation to release.
Music production
We focus on the development and production of original music. This includes supporting the creative process, coordinating production needs and helping projects move towards a finished recording that is ready for release.
Artist development
We value the growth of artists and the identity behind their music. Artist development can involve refining creative direction, building a consistent body of work, preparing release plans and identifying practical next steps for a developing music career.
Release planning
A release is more than an upload. It requires preparation, accurate information, suitable artwork, distribution coordination and a clear plan for presenting the music. We aim to approach each release with organisation and attention to detail.
Connecting music with listeners
We want original music to reach the people who may connect with it. Our digital presence is designed to make it easier to discover label releases, learn about our artists and find official information about DEE RECORDS.
Our approach
Independent, intentional and artist-focused.
As an independent label, we recognise the importance of building carefully and making decisions with a long-term view. We aim to keep our work organised, communicate clearly and treat each music project as its own creative journey rather than a one-size-fits-all process.
We value originality, preparation, consistency and professionalism. We also believe that trust matters: expectations should be discussed clearly, responsibilities should be understood and important arrangements should be documented appropriately.
Our goal is to develop a catalogue of music and a label identity that can grow over time. That means paying attention not only to individual releases, but also to the quality of the creative process, the presentation of the work and the relationships formed along the way.
